Easy DIY: Studded Shorts for $15 !!

Easy Easy Easy How To Make High-Waisted Studded Shorts!

Here's what you'll need:

Fabric Glue: Aleene's Fabric Fusion
This came in a pack of three for about $3 at Wal-Mart but
I used this particular one because it says it is a
"permanent dry cleanable fabric adhesive"

Scissors
and of course, studs!

I could not find any studs at crafts stores so I resorted to ordering them online.
They were really cheap, about $3 for a sheet of 120 flat back studs.
When I ordered them from this store, they sent them out the following day!

I purchased this pair of black high-waisted skinny jeans from a local Goodwill for $8.
The brand is St. John's Bay.
From my experience, you definitely should to try on the pants before buying them because
sizing is different when it comes to high-waisted shorts.
I find that I usually need a larger size than usual.

Cut them to your desired length.
If you want, you can fray the ends by sliding the scissors across the bottoms repeatedly.
When you wash them, the ends will naturally distress from not being hemmed
You can also add cuts/holes to the shorts if you choose.

Once you are done distressing the pants, simply put a dot of glue on the back of the spike and glue it on wherever you choose! :)
(I have used the glue I listed above and after washing the shorts, I have had some of the studs come off the shorts. I have also tried using a hot glue gun and they stay better. So go with the hot glue gun if you can!)

Here are a few different ways you can stud your shorts !!
