Review: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Bronzer

Physician's Formula states on the back of this product that it is a "Custom bronzer, blush, and eye shadow."
The colors in the one I am reviewing are called Wakiki Strip/Peachy Glow Bronzer.

I bought this a while back before I was really into makeup so I decided to give it another chance.

PROS
The like the packaging
The colors look pretty in the packaging

CONS
Colors aren't very pigmented unless you use a lot.
Colors mix together easily if you use a large brush.
I find it to be WAY to shimmery to be used as a bronzer.
I thought the formula was too stiff and really hard to work with
to be used as an eyeshadow.
And as far as this goes as a blush, there is one pinky color but
it is too light and too shimmery to be a blush color.

Would I repurchase this item? No.

Current Favorites: Summer 2012

I've been slacking on the favorites recently...... my bad!

I've been loving leave-in conditioner for summertime.
The healthy sexy hair one is my favvv.

This Cover Girl eyeshadow in the champagne color is literally
the best face and eye highlighter everrr!
It's around $3
and it's available wherever they sell Cover Girl products.

I still love this eye primer
It's $1
you use 2-3 layers and
it works just as good as any high end eye primer
I swear by Cetaphil products
and I love this moisturizer for everyday wear because
it feels light enough on your skin
and it has SPF !!
This under-eye concealer roller thing....
let's just say if I don't wear this I always get someone telling me I look tired
haha!

This concealer is seriously the best.
It's very creamy and it stays all day  on top of my foundation (with a primer)
It gives great coverage as well.

The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
has been a favorite of mine also recently.
I put it on top of my eye primer, but underneath the eyeshadow BECAUSE
The white underneath really makes eyeshadows pop and appear much brighter.
Especially when it comes to drugstore ones because I feel like
drugstore eyeshadows really aren't up to par with high end eyeshadows.
Not going to lie,
I've been getting lazy with the face washing because I love these so much.
I actually apply this all over my face
and it helps keep my skin acne free!
This is a loose, white/translucent powder that claims
that it is formulated for HD picture taking or everyday wear
It really does work well for setting your makeup
AND
it doesn't reflect off the camera making you Snow White.

best liquid liner everrrrrrr.
$5

As the cold weather approaches
(which comes way too fast in MN)
I love to pair long sleeves with shorts and sandals.

sheinside.com online clothing store review

I came across a few items from she insider on polyvore and decided to visit their website.
They seem to have a lot of promotions going on all the time.
If you like their facebook page, you also get a certain percentage off as well.
So I browsed around a bit and these are the items I wanted to order.
She Insider sheinside.com

sheinside.com

sheinside.com

sheinside.com

I checked their facebook "like" page because I still wasn't sure how legit this website was. I saw they had 35,000+ likes and one of my mutual friends also liked it and this reassured me.

So I was doing research on the site about how their sizing worked and if items ran big/small/normal/tight/loose.
I found their size chart and their item description measurements to be rather confusing.

The grey striped sweater was a one size fits all dealio.

The turquoise sheer top came in small, medium, and large and based on how they presented the measurements, it seemed like the shirt was a baggy fit so I went with a medium. (If it was a tight fit, I would normally go with a large just because I don't enjoy tight clothing)

The high waisted shorts also came in small, medium, and large and based on the measurements, I ordered the large size.

So when I placed my order, I got free shipping and used a discount code i found on the internet (barbro20 was the coupon code I used)

So I received an email with my payment receipt that same friday i ordered. I waited 5 days for the "your item has shipped" email but I never got it.

I contacted the store to see if they had sent it out yet and they hadn't but said they would be sending it out within the next few days and that they would send a free gift for my having to wait.

So another week went by and I hadn't heard anything from them about my items shipping. I contacted them once again because I was upset and I guess they had sent me an email about shipping my items but it went into my spam box which is odd because their other emails came straight to my inbox. i don't know why.

So I received the package Monday August 6th when I had ordered the items Friday July 20th.
When I opened the package, there was no receipt/exchange/return form just the clothes, each in their own bag.

When I tried on the grey sweater, I was very pleased. It was stretchy and it looked nice.
When I tried on the mint chiffon shirt, I was pleased, however the arms fit more snug while the rest of the shirt had a bit of a baggy fit to it. Not as much as I expected it to be. The arms weren't uncomfortable so I decided to keep this item as well.
I tried on the high waisted shorts and they honestly didn't fit over my hips. I was disappointed because they led them on to be a looser fit and the large didn't even fit. I will be returning this item.

They did also include a necklace as a free gift for the hassle, but I didn't really like it so I gave it to my mom
hahaha.

There were no tags on the clothes. No price tags, and no size tags that come attached to all clothing items. No tags to tell you how to wash the items either.

Another thing I learned is that they are based in Singapore so that is why it took my package a while to get to where I live (Minnesota). I have no problem with that, it is just the fact they didn't say they were based there so i assumed it was going to be the same experience as any other American clothing company I've ordered from.

Would I order from them again?? Probably not.
This website has had so many bad reviews.....

But if that doesn't convince you enough and you want to try it out for yourself:
I would not recommend ordering their pants.
I would recommend ordering a size up in the button down shirts they offer,
and
I would recommend trying out their one size fits all items!

Review: Wet 'n Wild Mega Liner Liquid Liner

PROS
very black color
price is only $2.99
lasts all day without a primer!

CONS
very hard to work with
runny
stung eyes

If you are really good at using liquid eyeliner, this could work for you.

If you are a beginner or find it difficult,
I would recommend the Maybelline Line Stiletto Felt Tip Liquid Liner instead

I find it much easier to work with and it is still affordable at around $5.

I am a felt-tip liquid liner person, I have always had trouble working with flimsy liquid liner brushes.

Would I repurchase this? No.
