Beginner Tips: Stop Eye-shadow Creasing!

When you put eye-shadow directly on your eyelid,
the oils on your eyelids will cause the product to crease and wear off very quickly.

Using an eyelid primer will help your makeup stay on all day long!

There are a few different kinds of primers I recommend:
(click on name to purchase!)

This is my absolute favorite eyelid primer because i have found
it works THE SAME as these other primers.
And it is only$1 !! You can't beat that!
THE TRICK IS: You have to layer it 2-4 times( depending on how oily your eyelids get)
before you put anything on top of it otherwise it will crease like crazy!
Available at elfcosmetics.com or Target

If you are a high-end makeup junkie you will love this primer!
It is around $18 but it makes your eye-shadow last without a doubt all day.
Available at Ulta, Sephora, or urbandecay.com

Great high-end eye-shadow primer
About $18
Works just as good as the UD Primer Potion or the ELF eye-shadow primer I mentioned above!
Available at Sephora or toofaced.com

Affordable! - About $7
Works just as well as any of these other primers mentioned!
Available at Ulta or nyxcosmetics.com

If price weren't an option, I would say too-faced works the best, but urban decay is a close second. Then NYX, and lastly ELF only because you have to layer it a few times.

Harmful Effects of Tanning Beds

Many of my peers enjoy using tanning beds.

Some do it every once in a while or for special occasions

while others go more often.

It may seem harmless to use a tanning bed every once in a while

but it is far more harmful than you think...
.
Tanning beds produce UVA and UVB rays which can damage not only the top epidermal layer

of your skin,

but also the deep dermal layers of your skin.

The deep layers of your skin is where your cells are alive and reproducing.

The top layer of your skin is where the cells are dead and eventually become exfoliated.

Damage to the deep layers of your skin can stop cell regrowth which can lead to skin cancer.

When your skin is exposed to these harmful rays,

melanin (a brown pigment) is produced by enzymes

causing the skin to appear darker to stop any further damage.

However, not all enyzmes repair the damage done to your skin.

Some mutate increasing your risk of skin cancer.

Not only are tanning beds harmful for your skin, they are harmful on the eyes as well.

Excessive tanning can cause eye cancer called:

-Ocular melanoma that is directly caused from UV ray exposure.

More treatable eye problems can result such as:

-Photokeratitis (a burnt/inflammed cornea-front surface of eye)

-Photoconjunctivitis (inflammed conjunctiva-membrane inside eyelids/eye socket)

Chronic eye problems can also result:

-Cataracts: visual impairment and growths on eye (pterygerium or tumors)

BUT WAIT! I haven't even talked about aging yet!

Exposure to UV rays cause premature skin aging (called photoaging)

(depending on how often you go, it makes you look older earlier) *gasp*

Your skin develops a leathery look to it and it also

wrinkles, sags the skin and can cause sun spots.

The use of a tanning bed before the age of 35

causes your risk of melanoma (deadliest form of skin cancer) to rise by 75%.

Even one bad sunburn as a kid doubles your chances of melanoma!

The Food and Drug Admin.istration,

World Health Organization,

and American Academy of Dermatology

all consider tanning beds unsafe.

So next time you think you are too pale for your own existence,

try a self-tanner or spray tan instead!

(this is my favorite one)

You get the same healthy glow without the harmful damage to your young and beautiful skin !

And don't forget a DAILY facial moisturizer with SPF!

Review: Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer

I have sensitive combination skin (probably the least desirable skin type everrr).
I have oily skin on my forehead nose and chin and dry cheeks.
Although it wasn't as moisturizing as I thought it would be,
I liked this product because of the SPF.
This product made me break-out with acne on my cheeks and chin.............
If we share the same skin type,
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM.

Review: Cover Girl & Olay Simply Ageless Concealer and Corrector

I own the corrector and concealer and I love one and hate the other!
They're very similar to each other
They cost about $10-$12 (a little pricey for drugstore makeup)
overall, i would recommend them for covering up acne and acne scars

Corrector:
yellow based
very creamy
long-wearing
too heavy for under eyes
good for concealing acne and acne scars (for yellow based skin tones)

Concealer:
pink based
very creamy
long-wearing
too heavy for under eyes
good for concealing acne and acne scars (for pink based skin tones)
the reason i hate this one is because i have yellow undertones therefore it makes me look diseased!
