Snowy, Wintery Nails !!

These are the winter nails I came up with....
I tried to make them look like snow!
i really like the way they turned out :)

How I achieved this:
-Use a white nail color on all fingers (and thumbs !) except the fourth finger
-Use silver nail color on fourth finger
-Then use a thin brush to paint a white snowflake on fourth finger
-Coat all nails twice with clear sparkly polish
-Apply your top coat!!

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !! :)

Current Favs November-December 2011 !!

These are the products I have absolutely been loving lately!!
-TRESemme Tres Two Spray Ultra Fine Mist #3: I LOVE using this when I curl my hair. It makes your waves so soft and touchable and it isn't hard

-Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum: this makes my hair so soft. Even more soft if I apply it to wet hair and blowdry! (disclaimer: i have a lot of thin, straight hair that gets oily after one day. I'm going to do a blog post on my skin type and hair type)

-Revlon Color Stay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Buff: I did a recent blog post on this!

-Hard Candy Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duo in 057 peace: OMG This eyeshadow duo is so pretty!

-Wet 'n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells:  SO pigmented. and its $2.99 at Ulta.... can it get any better??

-Cover Girl & Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in #200 Plush Peach: This is a flattering color for most people and its creamy so it adds extra moisture and a nice glow to the face :) i know Lauren Conrad is a fan!

-Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliners: These eyeliners are my absolute new favorite from the drugstore! They're so pigmented and long-lasting! They're new to the collection and I use bold brown a lot!

-Wet 'n Wild Mega Glo Face Illuminator: I've had this for years but just rediscovered it. It's super creamy and  I use it as my everyday highlight on my cheek bones

-Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller: OMG. This is my new favorite under-eye concealer. It wakes me up when applied and it gives great long-lasting coverage! However, it's a little spendy at the drugstore at around $11

-Mascara Duo: L'Oreal voluminous Carbon Black and Maybelline Falsies Flared both in black: The Falsies flared gives me lots of length and somedays I even skip curling my  lashes because this already does it! After I put Falsies on, I apply the L'Oreal Carbon Black on top to give my lashes more volume! (I have average length and thing lashes)

Review: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

I have been using the Revlon Color Stay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin for over a year now and I am absolutely in love with it!

I have combination/sensitive skin.

I use the color 150 buff and it matches my skin perfectly.

Goes on as liquid and dries with a slight matte finish.
Contains spf 6!

It has incredible staying power. With a primer underneath it will stay on for about 10 hours and without a primer about 6-7 hours it will start to wear off.

They have a pretty wide color selection available.

This is a heavier foundation so if you can wear it all year round! in the warmer months, you can mix it with a sunscreen for lighter coverage!

If you apply it slightly too heavy, it won't appear cakey like most foundations!

It is very lightweight and doesn't fall into any fine lines or wrinkles!

I have found it is best applied with your hands or a stippling foundation brush (I use one by E.L.F.'s studio line)

The one thing I don't like about this product is the packaging. It has a lid you pour the product out of onto your finger or hand. I would much rather it have a pump....

They also have a fantastic option for normal to dry skin with a higher spf rating

It costs around $10-$12 anywhere where Revlon products are sold!

This is my favorite foundation and I would recommend this to anyone with combination/oily/sensitive skin because it doesn't break me out!

Are you diggin' the double winged eyeliner??

I definitely am! I haven't gotten around to trying it though...
I think it would also look good with one color along the top lash-line and a different color along the bottom! or with a bold lip.

I think it is appropriate for a more dressy or casual look as long as you don't wear darker shadows with the such bold liner.

I have two favorite liquid eye liners I would use for this look...all time favorite and...Second Favorite
The mark. eyeliner is more matte and has a more intense color.
The n.y.c. eyeliner has a bit of a shimmer to it.

Review: Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer

I bought Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer for $6 at Wal-mart.
It came in a little plastic box with not one....but two concealers!
One was a thick, liquid consistency
And the other was a concealer pencil in the same shade.
This review will only be on the liquid concealer.

 amazing coverage
very thick
Covers any age spots or imperfections
Only need a dab about the size of an... Advil pill
I applied it with a concealer brush and then blended it in with my fingertip.
I wouldn't recommend for under eye circles
I would recommend for blemishes/acne scars

Very poor color selection: comes in light, medium and dark
I purchased in light
The color was too light for my skin tone
(even at its palest)
The medium color was too dark for my skin

All in all, if this concealer had a greater color selection, I would probably repurchase it because it was such a good deal!
